I trained as Shamanic Drum Birthing Facilitator with renowned drum maker Jonathan Weekes of Heron Drums.
Whether you are creating a drum to use for sacred purposes, or are looking to make yourself an exquisite and unique instrument, I believe that the hide and hoop deserve to be handled with respect, ritual, and gratitude to the spirits of their living origins.

Whether your new drum is to be used for sacred purposes or not birthing your drum is the start of a relationship.
Due to the differing qualities of each wood, and hide, combined with natural variations within each, your drum will be unique.
No two drums will ever look, or sound, the same. The depth and timbre of the sound will provide your drums unique voice.

A day of ceremony and sacred crafting based on ancient traditions of drum making in the British Isles.
After a demonstration of the process you will be supported to birth your own drum, following ancient traditions and techniques. As you work, you will begin to understand the nature of your drum.
Once complete, you will be guided in a Shamanic journey to connect to the spirit of your new friend.
